Marriage Visitor Visa UK
UK Marriage Visitor visa for those who want to get married or register a civil partnership in the UK. A marriage visitor visa allows you to stay in the UK for up to 6 months. You cannot apply for a UK marriage visitor visa if you are planning to stay or settle in the UK after your marriage or civil partnership ceremony.
We are experts in dealing with UK Marriage Visitor visa applications and if instructed will carry out all the work on the application until the decision is received from the Home Office UKVI.
One of the key factors in the marriage visitor visa entry clearance applications is to satisfy the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) that the applicant has strong family, financial and social ties to the country of origin and therefore he will return to the country of origin upon visiting the UK.
The applicant must not:
- take employment
- produce goods or provide services within the UK
- intend to undertake a course of study
- be a child under the age of 18
- intend to receive private medical treatment
- be in transit to a country outside the common travel area
- do any of the activities of a business, sports or entertainer visitor.
There is no provision within the Immigration Rules for an extension of stay as a visitor for marriage or civil partnership.
